Oh no! Really? These Jeans are too small.

"Not again!" I thought to myself, "Here we go lay down, suck it in and zip".

Jeans were my worst enemy.
They always bring me back to the stark reality of how much weight I had put on.
Forget shopping for a new pair.. too depressing, I always needed a size or two larger. So eventually I gave up on jeans and began to live in sweats.
No reason to dress up right? Nobody's gonna look at me anyway, so who cares!
The only problem was that deep down inside... I did care.
With my medical background I knew the problems that came with being
overweight. I was familiar with the heart troubles,
the diabetes, the ailing joints. I saw these patients everyday at the
hospital where I worked. I also knew that the stress I was under (going through a messy divorce)
contributed to my depression that in turn contributed to my need to change how I was
feeling that always ended up on food and drink.
The depression depleted my energy and I seemed to be in perpetual state
of "no want to". I just had no desire to do anything other than sit there.
Every time I looked in the mirror I got more and more depressed. I barely
recognised the person looking back at me! Then I really scared myself. I
developed suicidal thought patterns and fantacies.
One day and I really don't know how it happened (we'll yes I do it was divine intervention), I looked in the mirror and envisioned my daughter and remembered how desperately poor we had been, how I had managed to raise her, go to school for nursing and get my feet under me and florish.
I stopped dwelling on all the crap that was going wrong and start focusing on what was going right! I pulled my self esteem out of the toilet, washed it off and made a new start. Some days were better than others (and that's still the case), but; by changing my thoughts I changed my energy pattern.
I gradually gained more energy on a daily basis until somedays I just beamed with it. I love those days. As I changed my energy pattern I started attracting new and exciting experiences and people into my world.
Life opened for me a whole new world that I never new existed!

I realized that the person looking back at me from the mirror was just a
reflection of how I felt inside. When I felt good I looked good, when I felt
bad, well, I looked like crap. Then I finally understood. I understood that
my thoughts had a stranglehold on who I thought I was. I had been allowing my
